NOTICE OF TENDER
The Northumberland Solid Waste Commission is now
accepting tenders for the collection and processing of recyclables the general maintenance of recycling depots.
Tenders will be accepted until 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 22, 2012.
Tenders will be publicly opened on Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at 2:00 p.m.

Recycling Pilot Project
The NSWC would like to thank the participants
and the students from NBCC Miramichi for their assistance with this project. A
total of 32 families participated in the Recycling Pilot Project. An average of 3 kg per household
was recycled each week. Thank you for doing your part in helping
the environment!

Multiple Household Hazardous Waste
& E-Waste Collections
May 26,
2012 Items such as used oil,
paint, cleaners, solvents, old batteries, and fluorescent lights will be collected during the Spring Household Hazardous Waste
Collections. In conjunction with the Household Hazardous Waste Collections, electronic waste such as computers, keyboards,
televisions, cell phones, and printers will be accepted, free of charge!
Residents are asked to NOT
leave items in the parking lot prior to the collection. Please note that commercial waste will not be accepted.
